EAF Club Slide Championship 2007 - 2008

Sunday 17th February 2008 at Latton Bush Centre, Harlow

"Today Jill and I attended the AGM at the EAF on your behalf and I will pass on details discussed later. For those who shoot on digital you will be pleased to know, however, that the Federation is making changes and from next year the Inter-Club Slide Competition will become a Projected Images Competition and also this year for the first time the EAF Exhibition will include a digital category as well as ones slides and prints.

In the afternoon four of us supported the club in the last ever EAF Inter- Club Slide Competition, where we finished a respectable 10th place out of the 24 clubs taking part. The winners were the Beyond Group. These events are a great way for members, especially new members, to see the work of others and possibly get ideas of how to improve their own photography. It is quite interesting to see images that would often win in our own club competitions score quite low marks when up against some of the best photography in the area. The Beyond Group and Ware CC will go on to represent the EAF in the PAGB Slide competition at Warwick in July."
